Poor Lonely Goat Needs a Friend

So, we have a goat… just one. She’s a female goat and she’s birthed successfully before. You can barely see her in one of the recent photos as she blends in with the dirt and the walls of one of our buildings that just got damaged.

Whether you know it or not, goat meat is actually gaining popularity in Uganda to help feed people. It would be so helpful to our little orphanage if we had a few more goats to help raise not only meat and give milk for the children but also to sell for other things that we need. To purchase a goat here in Uganda they cost about $50. In fact, we can purchase one the very same day if the money were to be raised.

Currently, food is our biggest need. The children and staff are all down to one meal a day if that. When money comes in the children are eager to help prepare the food. On nights where there is none I quietly sit in the rooms with the children until they fall asleep and I then I go home and go to sleep with an empty belly as well.

However, God is faithful. He owns the cattle on 1,000 hills. His roads in heaven are made of gold. He is not blind to our needs or the cries of the children. Maybe, God wants to use you… maybe He wants to use another person. I don’t know. I do know that God can provide a goat and He can provide food and He had heard our prayers.
