Perserverance!

August the winds and rains came and our church was damaged but it doesn’t stop us from worshipping our God or proclaiming His goodness or faithfulness to us. You see, bad things and hard things will happen but if they didn’t happen we would not learn how much we can trust Him. It’s easy when things are good to sing of His faithfulness and protection but what about in the bad times where you’re prayers bounce off the ceiling and you can’t see His hand? Do you not think Job felt the same way?

We must remember that He is sovereign and His ways are not our ways. We need to get to a place where we see these challenges as opportunity to step closer to the Lord and wait for that miracle. Our roof may be damaged but the church is not this old building. It is the people here who love the Lord and call upon His name. Don’t let the circumstances pull your eyes from the next miracle that’s coming.
