We recently were able to purchase this one acre piece of land to grow crops to feed the 150 children who call Magale family and home. Please pray that God will bless the crops this season as we planted in faith.

Child sponsorship is $15 a month. It covers their basic 3 meals a day, education needs, as well as medical needs for the month. It doesn’t cover any extras and all the funds go to the children as there are no administrative fees. We have 5 children sponsored.

We try to ensure a safe environment for all our children here but the storms came and damaged our kitchen, bathrooms, and hall. It roughly will cost $1,700 to repair all the damages. Slowly we are trying to work on it.

Raising goats and chickens are one way that we can start being more self-sufficient. Goats are in HIGH demand here in Uganda. They are raised for milk as well as meat. Currently, they cost about $50 for one goat and about $6 per chicken with vaccines. We currently have two female goats and 10 chickens.

Currently, our orphanage doesn’t have any safeguards around it for the children or the supplies or things that we own. We’d like to have a fence all the way around with one entry and exit gate to keep our kids and the things we have safe as we try to be good stewards of what God has given us. It will cost roughly $2000 (US).

Unfortunately, our power has been shut off because we can’t afford the power bill just yet. This doesn’t stop the care of our orphans in the aspect of food or water but it does affect things like lights. We attempt as much as possible to cook by fire to help keep the bill low but this month we just couldn’t afford it.
